Breaking News:

Two injured in crash

Open Mic Friday

There’s a good bit going on now to talk about, it seems. I have to admit I’ve watched a little of the Jon Benet Ramsey coverage this week. It’s about all that has been on. Plus, I was on vacation last week when the story broke.

I don’t follow news when I’m on vacation. It’s like a mechanic spending his time off tuning up his car.

Anyway, there’s no way that creepy Karr guy did it. That doesn’t mean I wouldn’t like to see him jailed on something. I can’t help but think the world is somehow a safer place now that he’s in custody than it was last week, at least for kids.

Locally, I see where last week I also missed the news that City Council is having an audit of sorts conducted. I’ve heard council members talking about this since at least May, claiming they can’t do anything about reducing taxes and spending (what they campaigned on) until they get a clearer picture of how city money is being spent. At least that’s been the public stance.

Now I’m hearing that there could be more to this than we’re being told and that there are some real concerns where finances are concerned. Our reporter is digging into it. Stay tuned.

Have a great weekend.
