Police charge man with beating another

Suffolk Police are reporting the arrest of a man who has been charged in the recent beating of a homeless man.
On Thursday, the police department issued a release stating Alexander E. King, 19, of the 100 block of Pine Street had been charged with one count of aggrevated malicious wounding, one count of robbery and two counts of conspiracy.
King was arrested early Wednesday morning.
He is currently in Western Tidewater Regional jail with no bond.
King is charged with the beating of Timothy Arnold, 48, who police found in a parking lot on Pine Street Monday.
The injured man was flown to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he was last listed in critical condition.
Police are now looking for a second suspect, Christopher George Langston, age 34.
Langston, who resides in the 4400 block of Butler Drive, is wanted for one count aggravated malicious wounding, one count robbery and two counts conspiracy.

Police are crediting the community with providing leads to the identities of these suspects and the diligent follow up of the investigators assigned to the case, Detective Gary Myrick and Detective David Burke.
