SPARTANBURG, SC n A lackluster first half gave way to a much better second half.

“That’s been the story so far this season,” she added. “We come out to play in the second half of matches. We just have more intensity and get the job done.”

Freshman striker Ashley Bradford continued her stellar play as she added goal number 20 on the season thanks to an assist from junior captain Casey Driver.

Katie Perkins, a freshman midfielder, had her fourth goal of the season with Driver getting another assist.

Freshman Erin Jackson scored the final goal of the match on an unassisted score. The score marked the second of her collegiate career.

After getting the lead, Donnelly was able to get in everyone who made the trip to Spartanburg.

“It was a long trip and I wanted those who made it to be able to play,” she said.

The victory pushed Chowan to 8-4-2 on the season.
