Holiday closures

Suffolk City offices and libraries will all be closed from noon Wednesday, Nov. 22, until Monday morning, Nov. 27, for the Thanksgiving holiday.
City parks will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day, but no attendants will be on duty.
The recreation centers, which are joint-use facilities at several schools, will be open from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 22, but will be closed Thursday and Friday.
HRT will not operate on Thursday, Nov. 23, or Friday, Nov. 24.
Normal operations will resume on Monday, Nov. 27.
There will be no trash pickup on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day.
The city will run Thursday’s route on Friday and Friday’s route on Saturday.
Trash must be placed at curbside no later than 7 a.m. on the day of collection.

The Suffolk News-Herald offices will be closed Thursday.
Friday’s paper will be delivered as scheduled.
