On Tuesday, Dec. 19, Clarence went peacefully into eternal rest. He was born March 3, 1974 in Suffolk, to Darlice Baton and the late Clarence Baton.
He attended the Suffolk Public School System and graduated from John F. Kennedy High School. Clarence was a member of Tabernacle Christian Church. His greatest hobby was fishing.
He had great admiration for people and often entertained small as well as large groups of family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Carol Boykins; two daughters, Kyiadra and Shanceia; three sons, Travis, Hakeem, Raquayn; mother, Darlice Baton; mother-in-law, Audrey Holmes; four sisters, Mary Boykins, Loretta Baton, Marion Savage (Tacarl) and Denise Baton; two brothers, Lonnie Boykins (Beatrice) and Michael Boykins (Tashonna); 15 aunts; four uncles; sister-in-law Felicia Holmes; brothers-in-law Willie Holmes and Calvin Williams; and a host of nieces; nephews; cousins and other family and friends.
The viewing will be held on Friday, Dec. 22 from noon-6 p.m.; wake service will be held from 6-7 p.m.
Service will be on Saturday, Dec. 23 at 11 a.m. at Tabernacle Christian Church, at 1401 E. Washington St.
Interment will be at Picott Family Cemetery in Carrsville.
