Mr. Eric Dexter Gary, 43, of 2364 Godwin Blvd., died Dec. 26, in Sentara Obici Hospital. He was a native of Suffolk.

He was a 1981 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School and a member of Little Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

His survivors include his parents Willie F. Gary Sr. and Ellen Hicks Gary, of Suffolk; one daughter, Britteny Nicole Gary, of Suffolk; one son, Bryant Dexter Gary, of Suffolk; three sisters, Nadina Gary and Belinda A. Gary, both of Suffolk, and Myra V. Bradburn (Brett), of Gainsville; two brothers, Willie F. Gary Jr., of Suffolk and Michael A. Gary, of Victoria; one aunt, Mary H. Wolfrey, of Sunbury, N.C.; one uncle, Willie Parker, of Virginia Beach; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Dec. 29, at 11 a.m. at Little Mt. Zion Baptist Church by the Rev. Franklin Williams.
