As a member of the Fairgrounds Plan Advisory Committee appointed by City Council from its (Committee) inception, I would like to state that the new Health and Human Services Building being constructed on Hall Avenue is not, and has not ever been the centerpiece of the Fairgrounds Project as stated in the Suffolk News Herald on September 11, 2008. The Phoenix Bank and its Restoration as an African American Museum has always been the focal point of the Fairgrounds Project.
