What has happened to the City Council’s request to revise the Family Transfer Ordinance? I believe it came before Council last January and has appeared before Council several times since. I gave each council member a copy of a user friendly rewritten ordinance that could be adapted in five minutes of a meeting.

There are those who have said some contractors have abused the family transfer ordinance as it is now written. These same contractors have provided many fine homes for people who want to live outside the downtown areas. They have also built these fine homes without city money or tax credits and provided results the City could not. These fine homes also provided the City with extra tax money that would not have been generated without their effort.
