Johnson would represent all of city’s diverse interests

In the past two years as Mayor of Suffolk, Linda Johnson has shown outstanding leadership.

A good mayor cannot represent just one faction of the city, but has to represent all people: black and white; old and young; rich and poor; Republicans, Democrats, and Independents.

Linda Johnson has built all of those bridges.  She has good relationships with Governors Tim Kaine and Mark Warner and also with Del. Chris Jones, Congressman Randy Forbes, and many other elected officials of all parties.

During her time as mayor our financial standing has been improved, the property tax rate has gone down, and assessments are being scrutinized.

Her leadership during the tornado this year was exemplary. It is during difficult times that true leadership is shown.

I know she will do everything in her power to build one more bridge — The Kings Highway Bridge.

A vote for Linda Johnson is a vote for all of Suffolk.
