Throughout the years, I have chosen not to dwell on the misspelled words, errors in syntax, and ever-present blurred pictures that appear in this newspaper. But today I cannot adequately describe the outrage I felt when I perused the Nov. 5 issue.

How is it that stories on Linda Johnson and others who ran for local government trumped the most powerful position in this country? To relegate Barack Obama’s historic election to a mere corner of the front page without a SINGLE article pertaining to his victory is beyond despicable.

I am certainly not the only reader, or should I say former reader, who harbors this sentiment.
