A damaged line has disrupted phone service for several city departments, and Suffolk officials are asking residents to use alternate phone numbers if they need to reach them before Monday.
Phone service is limited for the Planning and Community Development department, the office of the Commissioner of Revenue and the Treasurer’s office, according to Suffolk spokeswoman Debbie George.
Efforts are under way to repair the damage, but service is expected to be spotty through Monday, she said in a press release.
To reach the departments until then call the following numbers: Planning and Community Development — 514-4175; Commissioner of the Revenue — 514-7181 or 514-7182; and Treasurer — 514-7175, 514-7176 or 514-7177.
