Suffolk Police on Wednesday announced the arrest of a suspect in a 15-year-old homicide.

Darrin Bondhill, 35, has been charged with the murder of Robert Lee Cromer on Feb. 17, 1994. The homicide occurred in a residence in the 500 block of Ashley Avenue.

Bondhill has been charged with one count each of first degree murder, robbery, burglary, conspiracy, and four counts of using a firearm in the commission of a felony. Bondhill was served with indictments at the Roanoke City Jail.

This is the fourth homicide solved by the Suffolk Police Department Cold Case Unit since its inception two years ago.
