In honor of Earth Day, Suffolk residents are being asked to bring in their old tires, plastic, glass, aluminum cans, electronics, household hazardous waste, office waste, mixed paper and newspapers for recycling.

The Suffolk Clean Community Commission is sponsoring Suffolk Recycles Day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot of the old Food Lion, 1226 White Marsh Road.

Recycling these items is free to the public during the event. Cool 92.1 will broadcast live at the drive, and each person who recycles will receive a Cool Prize Pack.
