Relay a success, thanks to Suffolk

Last weekend was the Relay for Life. Thank you to all who participated. It was a success. It takes many dedicated people and many hours of work to pull together such an impressive event.
Our host, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy couldn’t have been better to us. Our meetings are held at the school throughout the year, as well as the final event. It is a perfect setting for all of us to gather in our fight against cancer.
I know that the times are hard, bit so is the fight that many of our friends and family face every day, as they live with this disease.
Our chair, Ray Bennett, was a perfect leader for the year and set an excellent example of dedication and commitment to the cause. He led our event, while his own family faced cancer every day. Thank you, Ray.
There is still time to contribute, and many are still raising money toward our goals.
The American Cancer Society is here all year, even after we finish our Relay.
