Bulk waste charges burden seniors

I personally do not feel the City gave this enough thought and should not have implemented the new bulk waste disposal policy. Many of our senior citizens and others do not have trucks or the funds to pay for hauling debris.
I realize cost-cutting is essential. Maybe another look might find some non-essential areas or items could be cut, instead, such as the “curb-sweeper” truck that sweeps my neighborhood quite often, even though we don’t have curbs and we do keep our neighborhood streets clean. That is just one of the wasteful items the city could cut or reduce.
What is the city going to do when trash and debris starts piling up in some of our neighborhoods because people do not have the means to get it moved to the dump?
