In the early morning hours of July 30, the alarm in our garage warned us there was a problem. The garage was an extension of our home, filled with memories of fun times with family and friends. To our astonishment and horror, we found it was on fire.

We always have shown support and appreciation for the fire department, but until we actually needed their services, we had no idea how to truly appreciate them.

We would like to extend our thanks and praise for the quick response, and a job well done to the members of the Holland Fire Department, the police and all others who gave so willingly of their time and ability.

We are more grateful than words can express.
