Suffolk officials announced shortly before 10 a.m. Saturday morning that the north and southbound lanes of N. Main Street near the Kimberly Bridge have been closed.

Consistent rains throughout Friday night and into Saturday morning, sometimes heavy, has led to high water near this portion of the North Main Street. The closed area – the 700 block of North Main Street – regularly floods during heavy rains.
