Suffolk Public Schools officials announced Monday afternoon that all offices and schools will again be closed Tuesday citing poor road conditions in Suffolk.

Much of Suffolk received in excess of five inches of snow over the weekend. Despite efforts on the part of city work crews, many neighborhoods and secondary roads remain covered in snow and ice.

In a statement, the system said “while major roads have been cleared, most neighborhoods and back roads are still too dangerous for buses.”

The decision also affects all athletic events scheduled for Tuesday as well.
