Some folks have the most discriminating of tastes, and they won’t let a little thing like the law get in the way of satisfying those tastes.
So it was for a burglar who broken into an ABC store on Constance Road on Jan. 31.
The store’s surveillance video shows a man break into the store and head straight for the $179-a-bottle Cognac. Stymied when he found only empty display bottles available for the taking, the man quickly turned his sights on the store’s stock of Ciroc vodka, which carries a price tag of “only” $49 per one-liter bottle.
He quickly loaded his backpack with nine of the bottles, leaving the store just over a minute after entering, according to Debbie George, a spokesperson for the city of Suffolk.
The suspect is described at a black male 25-35 years of age, 5’8” to 5’10”, with an average build and weighing 160-180 pounds. He was wearing a dark-blue, hooded sweatshirt under a gray hooded sweatshirt. His blue jeans had faded styling on the front and back of the thigh area. He wore dark boots; dark green, cloth gloves; and a black ski mask with sunglasses. He was carrying a royal blue duffle or gym bag with what appeared to be white symbols or writing on the sides.
