To the editor:

So sad to lose the Market to fire. It gave a touch of days gone by when we passed on the way to work at our business in Hampton.

Is anyone looking into the possibility of arson as a cause? There seems to have been an unusual number of fires on Route 17, especially in the area around Brewers Neck Blvd.

Williams Auto burned before they built the new building, and I can think of at least three houses that have burned at that intersection, one very recently.

There have been other fires on Route 17, between there and Suffolk. I would be interested to know what caused them.
