To the editor:

I can concur with Economic Development Director Kevin Hughes and Andy Damiani concerning the changes in downtown parking in our city. Their concerns are long overdue.

As I stated in a letter to the editor last year (10/22/09), the matter of free parking for the handicapped should be addressed, and the two-hour parking limit for handicapped drivers should be repealed.

Does it take the whole city to get the ball rolling?
