Two young men from Suffolk have been charged with stealing cell phones, computers, a camera, cigars, alcohol, charge cards and cash during nighttime burglaries at homes in the Riverview section of Suffolk.
Christopher R. Richardson, 20, of the 600 block of W. Constance Road, and Caleb Bateman, 19, of the 2600 block of Buckingham Road, were charged with two counts of burglary and two counts of grand larceny each for breaking into residences when the homeowners were at home, according to Suffolk spokesperson Debbie George.
The burglaries took place during the first week of June in the 700 block of N. Broad Street and the 600 block of Dumville Avenue, George stated in a press release.
Detectives also are investigating whether the men are connected with a burglary in the same neighborhood in September, George said in the release.
