Suspects get away with cash from store

Two suspects got away with cash from a Godwin Boulevard convenience store robbery Saturday night.

Police say two black men wearing hoodies and bandannas covering their faces entered the Tom & Jerry’s Convenience Store at 5933 Godwin Blvd. about 9:30 p.m. Saturday. They both displayed handguns and demanded money from the clerk, city spokeswoman Debbie George said.

The men took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot, George added.

The first suspect is described as a black male in his early 20s, approximately 5 feet 10 inches to 5 feet 11 inches, wearing a gray hoodie and bandanna around his face.

The second suspect is described as a “short and stocky” black male wearing a black hoodie and a bandanna covering his face.
