King’s Fork relay team runs at Penn Relays

King’s Fork’s boys’ 4-by-100 relay team finished in the top third of their event Friday morning at the 117th Penn Relays at Franklin Field in Philadelphia.
The Bulldog team of Andrew Gould, Davon Grayson, Lawan Brown and Deion Dickens finished 83rd in a field of 270 squads, clocking in at a time of 44.60 seconds. The Bulldogs finished fourth in their nine-team heat.
King’s Fork’s relay team was in the Small School division for the 4×100. Jamaican teams took three of the top four spots in the preliminary heats. Along with Jamaica, schools from the Bahamas, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, the U.S. Virgin Islands and St. Vincent’s and the Grenadines were in the competition.
More Bulldog athletes, along with Nansemond River and Lakeland sprinters and jumpers, are competing in the Penn Relays through Saturday.
