Davenport & Co., a 149-year-old independent, employee-owned investment firm, recently opened an office near downtown Suffolk. The new office is located in the Chorey & Associates Realty, Ltd. building at 330 West Constance Road, Suite 200.

Headquartered in Richmond, Davenport operates branch office locations primarily throughout Virginia and North Carolina. The firm is a member of the New York Stock Exchange, the Financial Industry Regulatory Association and the Securities Investor Protection Corporation.

David Love, senior vice president of investments, will operate his financial practice from this new Suffolk office. He has more than 22 years of investment experience and serves on numerous boards in the city.
