Jef Abersold has been hired as the Virginia Operations Manager at Coastal Logistics Group Inc.

Abersold will be responsible for overseeing the entire Virginia operation, located in Suffolk, including labor force, equipment, inventory, compliance and continual evaluation of work performance, processes and flow.

“We are glad Jef has chosen to join the CLG team.” said Chad Barrow, CLG president. “He has the skills and experience required of this position, as our Virginia warehouse continues to expand its customer base.”

Abersold has more than 15 years of experience in warehouse, distribution and logistics management and a track record of results, company officials stated in the press release announcing his hiring.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science and business management, with a minor in accounting from Commonwealth College.

He also holds certification in industry-specific fields of safety, compliance

and technology.

Abersold has thorough knowledge of managing complex business environments, improving productivity and reducing overhead costs, the release stated.

Coastal Logistics, headquartered in Savannah, Ga., is privately owned and operated. It offers logistical services to a range of clients.
