Surgery office opens in N. Suffolk

A new medical office on Bridge Road offers consultations and assessments with, from left, colorectal surgeons Ray Ramirez and Beth Jaklic, general surgeon Alireza Farpour, and general and bariatric surgeons David Spencer and Glen Moore. Chesapeake Surgical Specialists is reporting a high level of interest since opening a satellite office in North Suffolk in January.
Located at Lakeview Medical Center, 4868 Bridge Road, the office offers assessments and consultations with CSS general, colorectal and bariatric specialists on Fridays.
“They are only there one day a week right now,” practice administrator Paige Orgnon said. “We will expand to two days fairly quickly.”
The rented space at Lakeview, with three support staff, is for assessments and consultations only. Surgeries takes place at Chesapeake Regional Hospital.
CSS is an affiliate of Chesapeake Regional Medical Group, whose “nationally recognized surgeons offer the most technologically advanced surgical techniques,” according to a press release.
The board-certified physicians have more than 70 years of experience between them. “They are pretty prestigious surgeons that have been in the community for years,” Orgnon said. “Right now there are three, but there are plans to grow; we think we will grow pretty quickly.”
The office is already experiencing a high level of visits, Orgnon said. “They’re (patients) very excited they have an office where they can see those physicians in the Suffolk area.”
