Suffolk Farmers’ Market prepares for season

The Suffolk Farmers’ Market reopens April 20 in the Suffolk Visitor Center Pavilion, 524 N. Main St.
From 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., visitors can enjoy a variety of fresh local produce, baked goods and handmade crafts. Mike DeMoss will provide live music, and a strolling magician and the Teeny Tiny Farm petting zoo will also be featured. The Suffolk Art Gallery and Suffolk Art League will engage children with arts and crafts.
Admission is free and open to the public.
The market will operate from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesdays and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays through Nov. 23. Various themed days are scheduled throughout the season, and special entertainment and activities are slated for the first Saturday of each month.
Confirmed vendors include Acorn Hill Farms Produce, Green Pastures Farm, JC3 Family Farm, Noriega Farms, Rosa’s Garden, Smithfield Orchid and Nature Co., Sporganic Cultivations, Thomas Earl Boothe, Apron Strings, Whole-ly Rollers, Oberweis Dairy, Amelia’s Heirlooms, B&C Wooden Toys, Handmade Items by Bonnie Lee Munden, The Candle Forge, Handcrafting with Wood, Norman Beckett, Perry’s Totes and Tori Sophia Designs.
