Huma A. Shamsi has been named the clinical director at Tidewater Physical Therapy’s Windsor location.

Shamsi joined Tidewater Physical Therapy in May. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from New York University and specializes in working in sports and general orthopedics, with stroke patients and on vestibular and fall-prevention therapies.

“Huma brings a combination of qualities that makes for a good physical therapist and clinical director — experience with enthusiasm and professionalism,” said Kevin Schrack, the Tidewater Physical Therapy regional director in charge of the Windsor location.

“She is looking forward to offering even more specialty therapy services to the community for an even better care experience for her patients.”

“I believe in a hands-on treatment of every patient,” Shamsi said. “I use my manual physical therapy skills and clinical knowledge to give patients back the reigns in their lives.”

Established in 1986, Tidewater Physical Therapy employs nearly 300 physical therapists, physical therapy technicians, personal and sports performance trainers, front office coordinators and a corporate headquarters staff.
