Two LPW employees earn awards

Two Lake Prince Woods staff members have been recognized by their employer, United Church Homes and Services, for demonstrating a high level of commitment to ethical behavior and the goals and objectives of the company compliance program.

Susan Baker, business manager, and Beverly Copeland, restorative aide, are among 10 individuals selected by their peers for this honor. An ice cream celebration was held to recognize their achievement.

“Our compliance program strives to create a culture that promotes understanding of and adherence to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations,” said Steve Paterson, chief quality and compliance officer.

United Church Homes & Services, a nonprofit corporation located in Newton, N.C., operates three continuing care retirement communities, including Lake Prince Woods and six affordable senior housing communities across North Carolina and Virginia.
