Home health company opens Thursday

Briggs Home Health Agency opened its first Suffolk branch Thursday, operating as “Briggs of Suffolk” and located at 701 E. Pinner Street, Suite B.
Founded in Norfolk, Briggs Suffolk site is its fourth location, according to a press release announcing the opening.
Briggs of Suffolk will offer or help elderly, handicapped and psychologically impaired clients get access to a range of home health care services, according to company officials.
Valerie Briggs, director, commented that integrity is built into their business plan. “We aim to strive to do the right thing and live by ‘The Golden Rule’,” she said.
“The people of Suffolk have been very supportive of our mission.”
Briggs of Suffolk is a family-owned business. Its staff of experienced health care professionals is licensed, insured and bonded.
The company accepts private pay and Medicaid for its services.
“Taking care of our aging population is such an important part of our community,” Suffolk Mayor Linda T. Johnson stated in the press release from the city. “We are happy Briggs of Suffolk has decided to expand into our city.”
