Player of the Week nominees

Following are this week’s nominees for the Duke Automotive-Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:
- Tyler Lilley, senior for Lakeland High School baseball: He helped lead his team to its first win of the season, allowing only one earned run and throwing six strikeouts in a 3-2 victory against visiting Churchland High School on Wednesday.
- Addison Peak, junior for Nansemond-Suffolk Academy lacrosse: He produced an incredible seven-goal performance on Friday in a 12-4 victory against host The Steward School, adding an assist, as well.
- Lindsey Ransome, junior for King’s Fork High School soccer: She helped her team pull off one of the biggest local girls’ soccer upsets in recent history, scoring the Lady Bulldogs’ first and last goals in a 3-2 win against visiting and formerly undefeated Hickory High School on Friday.
