A Farmers Insurance agency has moved from Chesapeake to Suffolk, officially opening a new location in the College Parkway Crossing at Harbour View shopping center.

Suffolk’s deputy mayor, Charles Brown, and Sleepy Hole borough councilman Roger Fawcett attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new location Thursday. “I have noticed that you have a very good location, if you look at the growth coming,” Brown said.

“It’s telling me that you made a very good decision to enter your business in Suffolk. You have moved from Chesapeake to Suffolk, so I want to pat you on the back twice.”

Vicki Warren Agency is a multi-line Farmers Insurance agency specializing on auto, home, life and business insurance, according to a city news release

The agency focuses on business clients with two to 50 employees.

Home or business renovation insurance and vacant home policies are also offered.

Warren said she decided to move to Suffolk, because it’s where her friends and clients are.

“Suffolk is a growing community, and we are really excited to be in the city of Suffolk,” she said.

Fawcett said the new location is “definitely in the mainstream of the growth” for Suffolk. “I think you will see a lot more positive things going on,” he said. “We love to see people coming here — it’s just a great thing for our city.”
