Farm Fresh President Micky Nye presented a $325,000 donation check to Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters recently to help fight childhood cancer.

The presentation took place in CHKD’s outpatient cancer and blood disorders center, which was built with the help of funds raised and donated by Farm Fresh.

The gift came primarily from Farm Fresh’s Round Up campaign held earlier this spring. Round Up is an annual in-store fundraising drive held at every Farm Fresh location that encourages customers to round up the total of their grocery store tab to an even dollar amount, or to add additional dollars to benefit CHKD.

“We were proud to present CHKD with a check for $325,000, which was made possible thanks to the generosity of our local customers and the support of our associates during our annual Round Up campaign,” Nye said.

“Each year, we are humbled by the generosity of our customers, and the enthusiasm of our Farm Fresh associates to help raise needed funds for kids in need. It’s inspiring to see our community come together for this important cause.”

CHKD President and CEO Jim Dahling acknowledged Farm Fresh’s long-term support of CHKD’s cancer program.

“Farm Fresh has donated more than $7.5 million to CHKD’s cancer program over the past 14 years,” Dahling said.”
