Dr. Alexander R. Brewer will soon join the 1Foot 2Foot podiatry practice in downtown Suffolk.

Brewer was born in Virginia Beach and raised in Cincinnati.

He is a graduate of the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine and has a Bachelor of Science from The Ohio State University, as well as a Master of Science from the University of Toledo Health Science Center. He completed his residency at Our Lady of Lourdes Memorial Hospital in Binghamton, N.Y., which included a two-month rotation at the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics in Baltimore, where he served as chief resident from 2013-2014.

He also created the Free Foot Health Screenings program at Lourdes Vestal Primary care, which caters to walk-in patients and spreading diabetic awareness.

Brewer will begin practicing at 1Foot 2Foot Centre Aug. 1.
