Carrollton residents will no longer have to drive to Windsor or Smithfield for their favorite spirits, as the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control has opened a new store in the Eagle Harbor Shopping Center at 13478 Carrollton Blvd. It is the third ABC store in Isle of Wight County.

ABC will hold a grand opening celebration Monday at 1 p.m. Virginia ABC Commissioner Judy Napier will offer welcoming remarks, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony and light refreshments.

“Our agency is proud to provide this shopping convenience to Carrollton residents in response to customer requests,” Napier said.

The new Carrollton store measures 1,328 square feet, carries nearly 1,800 items and employs seven people.

In recognition of Virginia ABC’s 80th anniversary, the first 80 customers will receive a free non-alcoholic gift.
