Curtis and Elnora Jones celebrated 70 years of marriage on Dec. 2.

They were married in Suffolk in 1944 and presently live in Hobson. He retired in 1981 after 33 years of service from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a rigger foreman. She was a homemaker.

They had two children, Curtis Jr. (Shirley) and the late Maxine G. Jones Johnson. They also had three grandsons and several great- and great-great-grandchildren.

They are members of Mt. Lebanon Church of God in Christ.
