Keith B. Hawkins has joined Virginia Commonwealth Bank as market president and senior vice president of commercial lending for the Hampton Roads market area.

Headquartered in the Suffolk office, Hawkins is responsible for the commercial banking business growth and development in the Hampton Roads market.

Hawkins has spent 30 years in commercial banking in Hampton Roads. Most recently, he was with Xenith Bank and Suffolk First Bank as senior vice president and senior credit officer.

As a lifelong resident of the area and with more than 30 years of banking experience, Keith has the understanding of what is needed by the customers in the Hampton Roads market.”

Hawkins received his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Virginia Tech. He has been active in the community, including serving on the boards of community organizations such as the Rotary Club of Churchland and RMA of Hampton Roads.
