East West Realty, the sales arm of developer East West Partners, will open a new sales center on Saturday in a fully furnished model home at 106 Tyler Court in the Founders Pointe community in Carrollton.

The craftsman-style home, built by Sasser Construction, will feature the latest in new home technology, energy efficiency and interior design. The professionally decorated home features main floor living with flexible options allowing the home plan to be built anywhere from 2,400 square feet of living space to 3,400 square feet.

Sasser Construction has been a featured builder with East West for 25 years, building homes at Gatling Pointe, Founders Pointe and The Riverfront at Harbour View. Sasser has won numerous Homearama awards and was selected the Southern Living Custom Builder of the Year in 2010.

East West is opening a new section of private cul-de-sac homesites near the Founders Pointe observation pier, which overlooks Batten Bay and offers distant views of the James River.

Seven new homes will be featured this weekend by area homebuilders including Allen Parker Builder of Yorktown, Birdsong Builders of Carrollton, Hohmann Builders of Smithfield, Newhall Construction of Smithfield, and ABT Custom Homes Inc. of Chesapeake.

East West Realty saw a resurgence in the new home industry in 2014, with 56 new home sales at Founders Pointe and The Riverfront at Harbour View, according to Mark Edwards, senior vice president for East West Realty.

“New sections in both waterfront communities, Founders Pointe and The Riverfront, helped serve the appetite in the local market, which has a huge pent up demand,” he stated in a press release. “Many homebuyers that selected Founders Pointe in recent months reported waiting for several years and wanted to take advantage of the low interest rates and the excellent values.”

East West Partners recently celebrated 40 years of creating resort-style planned communities. East West also celebrated its 25th year of developing quality neighborhoods in Isle of Wight County. East West has developed 25 communities with more than 20,000 residents along the East Coast — with six communities in the Hampton Roads area, including Gatling Pointe, Gatling Pointe South, Eagle Harbor and Founders Pointe in Isle of Wight, The Riverfront at Harbour View in Suffolk and Liberty Ridge in Williamsburg.

In 2010, East West Communities hosted the 2010 Homearama at Founders Pointe. More than 30,000 visitors toured eight furnished model homes during the 16-day period. In recent months, East West has opened four new cul-de-sacs in a new section of the community.
