Retail Alliance names new board

The owner of a Suffolk bridal shop has joined the board of directors of the Hampton Roads Retail Alliance.

Maya Holihan, owner of House of Maya Bridal Salons, as well as Maya Couture in Suffolk, is one of four new directors named to the organization’s governing body.

Other new members are Lori Janke of Clothes Mentor and Once Upon A Child, Carla Mackie of The Full Cup and John Small of Small’s Restaurant and Catering Co.

Current directors who had their two-year terms renewed include(Alison Dodson-Anderson of A. Dodson’s, Randall Benjamin of Farm Fresh/SUPERVALU, Nathan Benson of Tidewater Finance Co., Neal Crawford of Monarch Bank, Robert Gurnee of Suburban Asset Management, Timothy J. Hillegass of HLC Electrical Supplies, Pam Katrancha of Garden Gazebo/Hickory Farms, Debbie Ross of Lynnhaven Mall, Chris Sink of Hi-Ho Silver, Joe Taylor of Taylor’s Do It Center, Brenda Tusing of The Royal Chocolate and Timothy Wright of Simply Unique Jewelry Design.

Officers for the 2015-2017 term are Ben Willis III of Willis Furniture, chairman; Joe Taylor, vice chairman; Jim Wofford of MacArthur Center, immediate past chairman; Chris Sink, chair of budget committee; Pam Katrancha, chair of investment committee; Phil Scotti of Philip Michael Fashion For Men, chair of legislative committee; and Debbie Ross, chair of membership committee.
