TowneBank has announced promotions for three Suffolk headquarters employees.

Ylonda Ashby has been named an assistant vice president and risk management coordinator.

Ashby has been with TowneBank for 12 years and has 30 years of industry experience. She is a graduate of Norfolk State University and volunteers with Walk a Mile in her Shoes, an event hosted by the YWCA of South Hampton Roads.

Julianne Cookson has been promoted to vice president. She is part of the Regulatory Compliance department at TowneBank’s headquarters in Suffolk.

Cookson has been with TowneBank for nearly 14 years and has more than 30 years of industry experience. She attended the Virginia Bankers Association Compliance School and has also received the Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager designation.

Cookson volunteers with Bank On Virginia Beach and is a regional advisory council member of the Southeastern Virginia Housing Corporation.

Greg Ohmsen has been named a senior vice president. He is a member of the facilities department at TowneBank’s main office in Harbour View.

Ohmsen has been with TowneBank for 16 years and has 26 years of industry experience. He received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bridgewater College.

Ohmsen serves on the board of directors for the Roc Solid Foundation and is chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Portsmouth/Chesapeake Elks Lodge No. 82. He is also an active member of Community Church of Western Branch.
