TowneBank has announced the promotion of Tony Scarola to executive vice president and director of technical information security. He is based at TowneBank’s headquarters in Suffolk.

Scarola has been with TowneBank for 11 years, serving IT and risk management roles. He is a member of and speaker for the American Bankers Association, the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center and the FBI InfraGard Norfolk Chapter.

A military veteran, Scarola holds the (ISC)2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.

Scarola volunteers with the FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association, the United Way of South Hampton Roads and Toys for Tots.
