TowneBank has announced two new employees joining the bank’s staff at its headquarters in Suffolk.

Katrena Thomason has been hired as a senior vice president. She is an internal audit manager.

Sara Mooney has been hired as an assistant vice president. She is an assistant accounting manager.

Thomason has 19 years’ experience in public accounting and has worked in the financial services industry for 17 years. She is a graduate of the University of Mary Washington and is a Certified Public Accountant.

She is active in the community, serving on the board of directors for the HER Shelter and as a member of the United Way Women’s Leadership Council.

Mooney has five years of industry experience and is a Certified Public Accountant. She received her undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary and her Master of Accounting from the University of Virginia.
