Santa Claus won’t be carrying “Eat Mor Chikin” signs this weekend.

But the jolly old elf will star in the fourth annual Chick-fil-A holiday parade at Chesapeake Square on Saturday, sharing the spotlight with the Chick-fil-A cow.

The northern Suffolk and Chesapeake communities are invited to celebrate the season at the parade that will feature more than 50 floats, decorated vehicles and high school marching bands.

The parade starts at 8:30 a.m. and follows the road looping around the mall, at 4200 Portsmouth Blvd., Chesapeake.

The parade will honor Chesapeake public service workers, said spokeswoman Lauren Fyke. Grand marshals include Col. Mark G. Solesky, deputy police chief in Chesapeake; Sheriff Jim O’Sullivan; and Lt. Chief Ed Elliott of the Chesapeake Fire Department.

The parade’s theme will be the “Twelve Days of Christmas,” and the event will kick off with a festive holiday performance by RPM Dance.
