Gregory L. Byrd, assistant director of Suffolk’s Department of Economic Development, will be the featured speaker during the Commercial Alliance’s Feb. 23 event, “Incentives for Commercial Real Estate: What’s New in Suffolk’s Neck of the Woods?”

Byrd will discuss the city’s strategic growth areas and target markets, incentives for locating commercially throughout the city, new commercial properties in Suffolk, and how the dynamics of a large commercial office spaces work (and how they can be tailored to fit a business’ needs).

The event, to be held at Bridgeway Technology Center, 7025 Harbour View Blvd., begins at 8:30 a.m. with networking and a continental breakfast, followed by the presentation at 9.

Attendees may pitch their own properties after the presentation and may tour the host site. Attendance is free to Hampton Roads Realtors Association members and $15 to nonmembers.
