Sunday is the last day local shoppers and diners will be able to post pictures to Facebook for a chance to win one of five $100 gift cards to their favorite local business.

The city of Suffolk and the Suffolk News-Herald have partnered for the second year to celebrate love of local small businesses.

Through Valentine’s Day, local folks are encouraged to visit local businesses and post pictures for a chance to win.

Here’s how the contest works: Visit any independently owned business in Suffolk through midnight on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14.

While you’re there, post a photo of yourself or your valentine on the Suffolk News-Herald’s Facebook page, facebook.com/SuffolkNewsHerald. Be sure to include the hashtag #iheartsuffolkbiz and the business’s name.

Each post will be entered into a drawing to win one of five $100 gift certificates. There is a limit of one entry per person, per business, but you can increase your chances of winning by visiting as many businesses as you like.

On Feb. 15, the Suffolk News-Herald will choose the winners and contact them through Facebook.
