The Courtyard by Marriott — Suffolk Chesapeake recently completed the renovation of its lobby, business center, guestrooms, meeting space, fitness center and equipment, and its Courtyard Bistro.

The Courtyard by Marriott Suffolk Chesapeake, located at 8060 Harbour View Blvd., has 92 guestrooms and 705 square feet of meeting space, according to General Manager Tracy Kummers.

“We are already receiving overwhelmingly positive comments about our new look,” Kummers said. The renovated guestrooms are made with contemporary travelers in mind, she added.

Each guestroom has a flexible layout that includes a spacious work desk, complimentary high-speed wireless internet, a flat-screen television, and deluxe bedding with cotton linens and fluffy pillows.

The hotel also features a public area where guests will find flexible seating options, such as a communal table; a semi-enclosed lounge; and media pods where guests can plug in or connect to Wi-Fi and relax.

Information is easily accessed through Interactive GoBoard technology featuring a 55-inch LCD touch screen that provides relevant, up-to-date news, weather, maps, airline arrivals/departures, restaurants, events and other local information, Kummers said.

For dining, guests may enjoy The Bistro, the hotel’s café that offers hot, healthy breakfast selections; light evening fare, including cocktails, wine and beer; and Starbucks coffee.
