Following are this week’s nominees for the Duke Automotive-Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:

Damontra Milteer, senior, Lakeland High School football: The Cavs went 2-0 last week as they defeated both Great Bridge and Deep Creek. Milteer combined for 373 rushing yards in both games and six touchdowns.

Darran Butts, junior, King’s Fork High School football: Though the Bulldogs lost to a close game to Great Bridge Butts put up a solid effort with 235 yards rushing and two touchdowns.

JeVon Waller, junior, Nansemond River football: The Warriors beat Indian River, and Waller helped with 22 yards on seven rushes and also had a blocked punt.
