Police investigate shooting

The Suffolk Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one man injured.
Police responded to the 100 block of North Fifth Street about 1:19 a.m. Friday for a report of a subject that had been shot, according to a city press release.
Officers arrived and located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. The injury is not considered life-threatening, according to the release. He was transported to a hospital for treatment, and the investigation is ongoing.
