2nd Lt. Luke J. Reid is completing training as a military police officer in the U.S. Army at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.

Upon graduating from the Basic Officer Leadership Course in February 2017, Reid will move to Fort Lewis, Wash., where he will serve his first three-year tour of active duty.
Reid graduated from Nansemond-Suffolk Academy in 2011 and Old Dominion University in 2016. He is the son of retired U.S. Army Col. and Mrs. Jenks Reid, of Suffolk.
